Il Melograno has online group sessions dedicated to prenatal courses that we will continue to offer in the following months.
The meetings will be two-fold: one part dedicated to the theoretical/informative aspect, while another part to the sharing of body exercises focused on breathing, relaxation and physical well-being in pregnancy and preparation for labor and delivery.
The appointments will take place via Zoom.
The prenatal course is open to women and couples with a similar expected delivery date, to experience birth with awareness, serenity and confidence in one’s abilities.
Our aim for this group is to create an english speaking community where couples can speak openly in their mother tongue.
Each meeting includes:
• Body work in which to experiment with positions, movements, postural balancing and breathing exercises, to increase well-being in pregnancy, relieve tension, prepare for labor and delivery. Precious tools for pain containment will be acquired, such as sound breathing, free movement and partner support.
• Information, discussion and exchange of experiences on various issues concerning motherhood. We will talk about health in pregnancy and how to promote physical and emotional well-being in this time of great transformation and change; the different stages of labor and natural or caesarean delivery; breastfeeding; of the puerperium; the return home and the first treatment for the newborn.
